JUST ONE HUNDRED YEARS AGO!

The year was 1915 – JUST ONE HUNDRED YEARS AGO!
The average life expectancy for men was 47 years.
Fuel for cars was only sold in drug stores.
Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.
Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 MPH.
The average US wage was 22 cents per hour.
The average US worker made between $200 and $400 per year.
More than 95 percent of all births took place at home.
Sugar cost four cents a pound.
Eggs were fourteen cents for a dozen.
Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.
Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason.
The American flag had 45 stars.
The population of Las Vegas, Nevada was only 30.
Crossword puzzles and iced tea hadn’t been invented yet.
There was neither a Mother’s Day nor a Father’s Day.
Two out of every 10 adults could not read or write.
Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school.
There were about 230 reported murders in the entire United States!
The internet, cell phones, computers, etc. were not even thought about.

It is amazing how fast everything around us is changing. It is impossible to imagine what it would be like in another 100 years if the Lord tarries.

Daniel 12: 4 (KJV) “…even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”

We are seeing the signs of the "end times" everywhere...

ARE YOU READY?

John 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

In John 3:17, we know this because..."For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." AMEN!
